ABOUT WAKESURFING
Wakesurfing is an off-shoot of wakeboarding.
It's a surface watersport where a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat's wake without being directly pulled by the boat.
After getting up on the boat's wake (normally by use of a tow rope) wakesurfers then drop the rope and 'surf' the wake waves.
Wakesurfing uses special boards, designed specifically for wakes.

WHO CAN DO IT?
Wakesurfing can be done by anyone but you MUST be able to swim.
If you are a beginner please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for your first session.
There's no real age limit but we like to suggest that 8 years old is a good age for children to start learning.
For children 7 years and older we offer Kneeboarding as a first experience.
Please note that a parent or guardian must always be present when children are participating in any activity at Ullswater Wake & Surf and parents accept full responsibility.
HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS AND DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Our sessions can be booked in blocks from 30 mins to 4 hour sessions.
Each of our boats can carry up to 8 people which can be a mix of riders and spectators. For anyone participating you MUST be able to swim.
When you book please allow enough time in the water for each rider - this means don't book a 1 hour session if there's 6 people who want to wakesurf as there won't be enough time for everyone so allow at least 30 mins per person, if in doubt please email us at info@wakeandsurf.co.uk
Please book in advance as we get really busy.
If you are planning on booking a block of sessions, please ask about our multi-session deals!
Please make sure you arrive with us at least 20 minutes before your booked time slot.
