WHAT GEAR DO I NEED?
We supply all the gear you will need for each activity, from boards to crossbows, wetsuits to bouyancy aids. These are included in the price of your session.
For water -based activities you must be able to swim and we recommend that you bring suitable footwear like old trainers that you're happy to get wet , your 'swimmies' and a towel. We also recommend you bring something warm to wear after your session on the lake as it can get chilly.
For land-based lakeside activities make sure you have sensible footwear and comfortable clothing. Again make sure you have something warm to wear on chillier days!
Don't forget sunscreen / sunhats / sun protection!
For Wake Surf Crew Summer Camp we will provide everything required for the activities but we ask each child wear appropriate clothing along with a complete change of clothes just in case. Please bring a pair of shoes that can get wet, like some old trainers. Bring a packed lunch and a bottle of water with everything clearly named.

Ullswater Wake & Surf can offer coaching for your activity.
We have lots of experience in providing excellent coaching, support and advice for all levels, from beginners to advanced.

WHERE CAN I GET CHANGED?
We have changing facilities at both our locations.
Showers are also available elsewhere on each site if required.
WEATHER QUESTIONS
We monitor the weather constantly. The only time we will cancel a session is if we regard the conditions as dangerous.
For paddleboarding, beginners should stick to days with minimal wind which will ensure you learn SUP quicker. More experienced boarders may enjoy a wider range of weather conditions.
You can find out more about our Cancellation policy in our Terms & Conditions.
CAN I USE MY OWN GEAR ON THE LAKE?
PARK FOOT: Lake access is free while staying at Park Foot. If you aren't resident they charge £5 per day, per car. If you are launching a boat, they charge £10.
WATERSIDE HOUSE: Anyone not staying at the campsite and bringing their own equipment (eg. paddleboards) will be required to pay both a launch fee (£6 per item) and a parking fee to Waterside Campsite. Please contact the Campsite Office to make payment.
