Skippered Boat - up to 8 people

Boat charters are for groups (max 8 people) who want flexibility with time and may want to both kneeboard and/or wakesurf, or for groups who want a leisurely, relaxing trip around Lake Ullswater. 

If you plan to kneeboard or wakesurf you must be able to swim.

We also have special Lunch on the Lake picnic packages.

For larger group bookings where parking is required for multiple vehicles, please speak to us in advance about parking arrangements.

Anyone not staying at either campsite and bringing their own equipment (eg. paddleboards) will be required to pay both a launch fee and a parking fee.

WATERSIDE HOUSE - visitor parking for one car is included with your booking. Additional vehicles must pay for parking at the Campsite Office on arrival.

Yes, all boat charters need to be booked in advance so we can ensure we have enough time available for you and ensure the skipper isn't already pre-booked!

We can take up to 8 people on a single boat charter.

If you plan to kneeboard or wakesurf you must be able to swim.

We have everything you'll need from westuits to boards to bouyancy aids.

All equipment is included in the price of your session. If you plan to kneeboard or wakesurf you must be able to swim.

All we recommend is that you bring your 'swimmies' and towel to get dry afterwards! 

If you decide to get in the water it's also worth making sure you have something warm to wear afterwards.

Don't forget sunscreen / sunhats / sun protection on sunny days!

We have changing facilities at both our locations.

Showers are also available elsewhere on each site if required.

We charter in all weathers!

The only time we will cancel a charter is if we regard the conditions as dangerous.

Yes, very close!

We are based at Waterside House Campsite right on the water's edge - it's an ideal base for exploring the Lakes.

There's camping, glamping, Tipi and Pod hire available.

We can also recommend the beautiful Edenhall Estate which has lots of amazing dog friendly accomodation options from woodland cabins, lake view cottages, loft-style apartments and family lodges.

There are also lots of places to stay in the Lake District.

We take all possible precautions to protect both our customers and ourselves.

All equipment, including our wetsuits are sanitised after each use and we ask that everyone visiting Ullswater Wake & Surf takes personal responsibility for themselves and others by taking all possible precautions as detailed in government guidelines.

We ask that if you have any symptoms of COVID, or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID that you call or email to reschedule your booking.

Please give us as much notice as possible!
